Field Camera ยท last updated 30 August 2026
Field Camera does not collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours for anything to be sent to.
Everything the app produces stays on your iPhone unless you deliberately export or share it:
None of it is transmitted to us, because there is nowhere for it to go. We operate no servers and we receive nothing.
Field Camera asks for location access while you are using the app. Your position is read at the moment you take a photo, so it can be stamped onto the image and written into the photo's metadata. The app never uses location in the background and never sends your position anywhere.
The camera is used to take photos, and the motion sensors provide the tilt and roll readings and the level in the viewfinder. Nothing from either leaves your device.
By default Field Camera does not touch your photo library at all โ photos are kept inside the app. If you turn on "Also save to Photos", the app asks only for add-only access, which lets it add a copy and does not let it read anything you already have. If you additionally turn on "Album per project", iOS requires broader photo library access, because finding or creating an album counts as reading your library. That permission is requested separately, only when you turn that switch on, and you can decline it โ copies will still be saved, just not sorted into albums.
Two features ask Apple's services for something. We never see these requests.
Both are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Turn either feature off and no such request is ever made.
Field Camera Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether the purchase has been made; that is the only thing it asks.
Field Camera is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect substantive changes.
